Finally...back to softball

In spite of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, MYS was able to "play ball" this Fall, welcoming back 70 girls and 7 teams back to the field. Players, coaches and umps all maintained social distancing and dealt with the situation as best they could and parents and players are to be applauded for their adherence to the rules established by the Mass USSA Softball leadership, the Governor's Office and local health and town authorities.

Overall the teams played well and hard this Fall. Our 12U Bellingham Fall team, coached by Coach Ratcliffe, made it all the way to the Championship Game but eventually lost to Attleboro by a 6-2 score. Meanwhile our 18U team played our 14U team in a fun scrimmage under the lights at Medway HS (see below). The future of Medway softball looks bright indeed!

We're excited about the upcoming Spring season and hopeful (as we all are) that some return to normalcy will occur and that our girls can get back to playing the game they love without any restrictions or safety concerns. Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming Spring season along with registration information in December. Be safe, be well, happy holidays and thanks for all your support!
